What to bring
Travel
light is our best advice to you, swimwear and T-shirts is all you will need on board in the daytime. In the evenings
people dress casually, but bring sweaters and trousers if you are coming in the cooler months. It's a good idea
to bring a pair of soft shoes or sandals just to use on the boat.
On board we provide hand towels only so please bring your own bath and beach towels. All this should be packed
into a soft bag which can be folded and stowed away to give more room in your cabin, not a suitcase.
The Mediterranean sun is very bright and on a boat hotter than you think, be sure to pack sunglasses, a good suntan
lotion and a hat. If mosquitoes find you tasty then bring mosquito repellent and a camera is an absolute must.

An alternative to chartering an entire boat is to join one of our regular departures and book a cabin. You will
have a chance to meet people from around the world while enjoying one of the most unique and relaxing holidays
in the Turkish Aegean. You are not going with the crowd. You are on a boat that you share with some other couples,
having your own crew that will be there for your needs. You may participate in sailing, have the chance to explore
every little bay and on your route.

here is a rough guide to your stay on the boat:
Blue Cruise Day 1: Fethiye (D)
Boarding in Fethiye Harbour around 15:00. We enjoy some swimming and
snorkeling in Turunc Bay or Tarzan Bay. We cruise along a few of the
islands towards Tersane Island, with the ruins of a once very important
shipyard. We have dinner and spend here our first night.
Blue Cruise Day 2: Cleopatra’s Baths - Bedri Rahmi Bay –Tersane Bay (B/L/D)
After breakfast we depart for Cleopatra’s Baths (Hamam Bay). Enjoy a
swim in the ancient ruins of these Roman Baths. We then cruise to
Sarsala Bay, a striking pine-surrounded bay. It is also a convenient
starting point for a 45-minute hike to ancient Lissa, notable mostly
for inscribed walls dating from the 3rd century BC rule of two of
Cleopatra's Ptolemy forebears.
Bedri Rahmi Bay is our next stop, named after one of the first ‘Blue
Cruisers’ who painted here in 1973 a fish on the rocks. Jump in the
clear water or explore the island. We have dinner here and our
2nd night.
Blue Cruise Day 3: Yassica Islands - Göcek Islands (B/L/D)
Today we cruise to the Yassica Islands. These tiny little islands
don’t have individual names. They are so small that no one has named
them. The biggest one has a sandy beach and there is a small pool cape
off the lagoon. We will then cruise to the tranquil area of Gocek
Islands where we can swim, snorkel or just soak up some sun and enjoy
the beautiful surroundings. A last swim at Red Island and overnight in
Samanlik Bay.
Blue Cruise Day 4: Fethiye (B)
After breakfast, it is time to turn back to the harbour of Fethiye and say farewell to our gullet and crew.

This classic tour is the best way to explore Turkey's unspoilt Mediterranean coastline. We head towards the Gulf
of Gocek, one of the Mediterranean's best sailing spots in a beautiful pine forest, passing some incredibly beautiful
mountains and seascapes. The sights of islands dotted with pine trees, caves carved in the rock face and the incredibly
blue sky meeting the turquoise sea.

Fethiye - rock tombs
|
|
You will sail on this itinerary mainly to secluded bays for
many swim stops in the clear blue waters and down to Fethiye (ancient Termessos with it's Rock tombs) and Ölü
Deniz. The famous historian Herodotus said about this place:
"If the gods would descend to earth, they would choose to live at Ölü Deniz."
Around Fethiye, there are important ancient cities of the Lycians.
Tersane Island is the biggest island in the
gulf of Fethiye. The island was deserted after the population exchange took place, which left many ruins from the
Greek occupation. You will notice a watch tower and shipyard as soon as you arrive from which the island was named.

Cleopatra's Bath - near Göcek
|
|
Tasyaka Bay located northwest of the Tersane Bay is
known for the famous painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüboglu and his friends who visited during the 1970’s and felt such
admiration for the beauty of the bay they then called it Bedri Rahmi Bay. There is a drawing on the rock at the
entrance of the bay painted by Bedri Rahmi.
YAVANSU BAYs, These bays offer a magnificent underwater
view where you can see a tropical underwater vista. There is a restaurant within each bay offering differing tastes
and atmospheres. The quiet and calm nature of the bays makes them an ideal place for the sailors who are looking
for a safe anchorage. You can relax and enjoy the beauty of these bays under the pine forest. Should
you wish to go ashore, take a walk and explore the bay this can easily be done.
Cabin Charter - general information
All
tours which are offered here take place on Standard-Yachts, the traditional Bodrum-built GULET.
All yachts are between 19 - 25 meters length, these vessels accommodate between 12 and 16 guests in 6 to 8 cabins. The cabins have en-suite
WC & handheld showers. (Hot & cold). There is a music set, VHF Radiotelephone and a dinghy on each yacht,
but in general no air condition. Crew consists of a captain, cook and a deckshand.
An exact yacht’s name
can not be available until 1 or 2 days before departure, as numbers of bookings come in often late. This works
well over the years like a cooperative and we advice you to give us your mobile phone that we stay in contact to
give you captain's number and boat name.
more details of your boat
The crew aboard our Gulets and yachts often do not have a foreign language mastered, but they almost always know
a few ’every-day’ phrases and are able to understand almost all requests.
