What to bring
Travel
light is our best advice to you, swimwear and T-shirts is all you will need on board in the daytime. In the evenings
people dress casually, but bring sweaters and trousers if you are coming in the cooler months. It's a good idea
to bring a pair of soft shoes or sandals just to use on the boat.
On board we provide hand towels only so please bring your own bath and beach towels. All this should be packed
into a soft bag which can be folded and stowed away to give more room in your cabin, not a suitcase.
The Mediterranean sun is very bright and on a boat hotter than you think, be sure to pack sunglasses, a good suntan
lotion and a hat. If mosquitoes find you tasty then bring mosquito repellent and a camera is an absolute must.

This classic tour is the best way to explore Turkey's unspoilt Mediterranean coastline. We head towards the Gulf
of Gocek, one of the Mediterranean's best sailing spots in a beautiful pine forest, passing some incredibly beautiful
mountains and seascapes. The sights of islands dotted with pine trees, caves carved in the rock face and the incredibly
blue sky meeting the turquoise sea.

Fethiye - rock tombs
|
|
You will sail on this itinerary mainly to secluded bays for
many swim stops in the clear blue waters and down to Fethiye (ancient Termessos with it's Rock tombs) and Ölü
Deniz. The famous historian Herodotus said about this place:
"If the gods would descend to earth, they would choose to live at Ölü Deniz."
Around Fethiye, there are important ancient cities of the Lycians.
Tersane Island is the biggest island in the
gulf of Fethiye. The island was deserted after the population exchange took place, which left many ruins from the
Greek occupation. You will notice a watch tower and shipyard as soon as you arrive from which the island was named.

Cleopatra's Bath - near Göcek
|
|
Tasyaka Bay located northwest of the Tersane Bay is
known for the famous painter Bedri Rahmi Eyüboglu and his friends who visited during the 1970’s and felt such
admiration for the beauty of the bay they then called it Bedri Rahmi Bay. There is a drawing on the rock at the
entrance of the bay painted by Bedri Rahmi.
YAVANSU BAYs, These bays offer a magnificent underwater
view where you can see a tropical underwater vista. There is a restaurant within each bay offering differing tastes
and atmospheres. The quiet and calm nature of the bays makes them an ideal place for the sailors who are looking
for a safe anchorage. You can relax and enjoy the beauty of these bays under the pine forest. Should
you wish to go ashore, take a walk and explore the bay this can easily be done.
Cabin Charter - general information
All
tours which are offered here take place on Standard-Yachts, the traditional Bodrum-built GULET.
All yachts are between 19 - 25 meters length, these vessels accommodate between 12 and 16 guests in 6 to 8 cabins. The cabins have en-suite
WC & handheld showers. (Hot & cold). There is a music set, VHF Radiotelephone and a dinghy on each yacht,
but in general no air condition. Crew consists of a captain, cook and a deckshand.
An exact yacht’s name
can not be available until 1 or 2 days before departure, as numbers of bookings come in often late. This works
well over the years like a cooperative and we advice you to give us your mobile phone that we stay in contact to
give you captain's number and boat name.
more details of your boat
The crew aboard our Gulets and yachts often do not have a foreign language mastered, but they almost always know
a few ’every-day’ phrases and are able to understand almost all requests.
