Gocek is a small
village in an idyllic setting, in the corner of a well protected bay with pine covered hills on the three sides.
When you charter a yacht from Gocek one can truly say "the holiday begins as you leave Dalaman airport for
the only 20 minute drive to Gocek". You travel through some of the most picturesque scenery in Turkey.
Set at the north-west end of the
Gulf of
Fethiye, Gocek is blessed with magnificent scenery. Backed by
majestic mountains and substantial pine forests it looks out over the Twelve Islands.
The islands also provide further shelter for Gocek's almost circular bay which has made the village such a perfect
natural harbour.

Fethiye - rock tombs
|
|
You will sail on this itinerary mainly to secluded bays for many swim
stops in the clear blue waters and down to Fethiye (ancient Termessos with it's Rock tombs) and Ölü
Deniz. The famous historian Herodotus said about this place:
"If the gods would descend to earth, they would choose to live at Ölü Deniz."
Around Fethiye, there are important ancient cities of the Lycians. To the southeast of Fethiye lies Xanthos at
Kinik village, an important capital of Lycians. Its setting is naturally adorned while Letoon, by Kumluova village
and close to Xanthos, is also interesting. Letoon was a cult center during the Lycian period and remains can be
seen of temples dedicated to Leto, Artemis and Apollo. Patara by Ovagelmis, Pinara near Minare, Tlos by Doger,
Cadianda by Yesil Üzümlü, Sidyma by Dodurga, Karmilassos by Kaya are other significant
sites to visit in the environs of Fethiye.

Cabin Charter
- general information
All
tours which
are offered here take place on Standard-Yachts, the traditional Bodrum-built GULET. All yachts are between 19 -
25 meters length, these vessels accommodate
between 12 and 16 guests in 6 to 8 cabins.
The cabins have en-suite WC & showers. (Hot & cold). There is a music set, VHF Radiotelephone and a dinghy
on each yacht, but in general no air condition. Crew consists of a captain, cook and a deckshand.
An exact yacht’s name can not be available
until 1 or 2 days before departure, as numbers of bookings come in often late. This works well over the years like
a cooperative and we advice you to give us your mobile phone that we stay in contact to give you captain's number
and boat name.
The crew aboard our Gulets and yachts often do not have a foreign language mastered, but they almost always know
a few ’every-day’ phrases and are able to understand almost all requests.

guide and can be varied to suite requirements. Also note that the route may vary slightly, depending on weather
conditions and time available, at the Captains discretion.
